Methods of Teeth Whitening

There are 5 different methods of teeth whitening.

Laser Teeth – This treatment will take up to around 60 minutes (1 hour), your gums are fully protected a hygienic rubber dam and the whitening gel is applied on your teeth.  The results you receive should last up to around 2 years. This type of treatment is done by a special laser light which can’t affect your teeth or gums in any way. This light is used so that the gel can form to then discolour the colour of your teeth and make them nice and white again.

Dental Teeth – Having this treatment may benefit some people as there are different types of the treatment that can suit your standard of teeth.  The surgeons may decide which treatment to have. This is a treatment which gives some people temporary side effects, these commonly known as sensitive teeth. This occurs when you have a cold or hot drink, and you get a different feeling while the liquid is in your mouth.

Teeth Whitening gel – This is gel which is placed in a type of tray which will fit over your teeth as the gel enters the first layer of your tooth ‘Enamel’ it will bleach the substances. There are two different types of gel which contain carbamide peroxide you can purchase, which are both at 11% and 16%. The 11% one if for people who have sensitive teeth and people who have not got sensitive teeth go for the 16%.

Teeth Whitening strips – These are sold over the counter in stores across the UK, and are fairly expensive, but actually usually work. These may take longer to produce the desired results. These strips are safe to use and also very effective. Putting the strips on cannot cause any damage to your teeth, and also staying on the plus side it gives your teeth a nice and positve look.

Teeth Whitening Toothpastes – These pastes contain a substance which will remove the surface stains on your teeth.  Some may contain other substances that are more effective against the stains. They are so many different types of toothpastes which can be bought over the counter and also online. This is an typical easy way to get your teeth whiter than ever without going to the dentist and having some type of treatment.
